Dance for Life, A BSHD NGO Dance Initiative

On June 3rd 2016, we launched a Dance Initiative, teaching children at Childline Botswana Contemporary Dance and Ballet. Childline has eighteen children aged between 2 and 10 years. These have since been split into two groups to make it easier for their dance teacher to correct them and help them focus. A month down the line, the children already showed enthusiasm about the project. The lessons evidently make them happy as seen by their excitement during lessons. ”I really have a great time with them and I now know them. They are really dancing well,” said Anne Viot.

Anne is a BSHD NGO Member volunteer. She has 10 years experience in ballet dance practice, from Ballet du Nord

in France. She took ballet practice 10 hours a week for the last 5 years.

The plan is to eventually put together a fundraising concert, a larger percentage of which will go to Childline Botswana to help cover children’s needs. So feel free to donate to this initiative.
