Temperature Rising: Tomorrow Movie Screening

On December 8th, BSHD collaborated with several partners to host an evening focused on environmental issues. Centered around a French movie, the event featured shared experiences from citizens of Botswana. Given the success of the event and the audience’s interest in the movie, BSHD aims to extend the project by screening the film in schools.

The film, directed by Cyril Dion and Mélanie Laurent, premiered on December 2nd, 2015, and garnered over 370,000 admissions in French cinemas within six weeks. Offering solutions and telling uplifting stories, the film presents a compelling approach to addressing the ecological, economic, and social crises facing our countries. Prompted by a dire warning in the journal Nature about the potential extinction of part of humanity by the end of the 21st century, Cyril Dion, Mélanie Laurent, and their team embarked on an investigation across ten countries. Their mission was to understand the root causes of this potential disaster and, more importantly, how to prevent it.

Throughout their journey, they encountered pioneering individuals who were revolutionizing agriculture, energy, economy, democracy, and education. By showcasing these concrete and positive actions already making an impact, they began to envision a brighter future.
